Tak Trondheim. Thank you Throndeim.

Hello everyone.
François and I are well. The navigation days asked by me made us see the coast fast disapear behind, and to be pleased to have a very little ship, who can sail even in nearly no water...
When the wind come, it does not do the things half, making us jump over the waves, who increase to reach a meter or more. Fenrir is doing well, and obeys really well.
Just before reaching the Trondheim's fjord, while rowing, when a head appears in the water just a few meters behind us, staring at us for some secondes before a slow dive. Looking at each other for a while in the eyes. impressive. It was the first time for François to see one of the peopple living in ocean, and he was impressed by the intelligence in the eyes, the seal looking like an old wise man, with dark eyes and a bearb. When we reached the fjord, the wind left and we had to row for some miles to find a quiet place for the night. very close to Trondheim, we had to do a unusefull crossing, before the wind turns to the right direction.
we earded, spoking to an old man that the wind will be a Stiv Kulling, witch is about 6 in Beauford from the South-West, but he said the here it's often turning to west. We could sail a bit and in the fog, a Drakkar appears, happy to see Fenrir's big brother, we set down the sail, begin to row very fast to cross her way, but it showed afterward to be a Fembøring, the bigger version of our nordlandsbåt, who was going back to her harbour motoring. after a small rowing time we saw that they were not interested at all by us and just keeping they course... so we rowed a bit befor the wind increase to a very strong wind, ten minutes was enough to change a mirror into a very wavy fjord.
The wind pushed us at the speeed of 6 kt, from the back, waves trying to turn you in the wrong direction and you have to stear carefully cause only one of those breaking waves could fill up our ship with water...
anyways, it allowed us to reach Trondheim at the end of the after noon, when François was writting in his diary that it was probably out of hope to reach the harbour...
In the Harbour, our coming in was not discreet, the gest kai is just under the pub and its terasse and a small bat landing hust after a storm and after the rain, impressed the peopple there.
Fenrir look really small beside of some big sail ships, like Berge Viking, who did the whitebred regatta...
We walked a bit in the town who is really full of big nice trees, which was really missing in the northern landscape.
we arrived on the thirsday, and on friday we tried to play a bit in the streets and did a total nothing, just enough to eat something this day, after trying the streets we went to the cathedral, were the tourists gave us a little money but we were not allowed to play there...
Luckilly, a stone carver who was working on grave stone ear us and help us to get some free tickets to visit the church and the museums, make us a guided tour to the restaurators workshops, where they restaurs the stones , the iron work and the colored windows, a very intersting visit.
Back to the Harbour, François tell our bad money day, to the very cute and charming bar tenders, who tell us to other peopple in the area and, the saturday, after a very good playing day, we got a lot of food and other usefull things from the neighbors, enough for us to eat for weeks...
in the evening, a orchestral-man is playing in the bar and the owner ask us to play a bit, François did and he got some more money, never five minutes playing had been so well paid.
I just came back after that, after being to a concert of Blackmore's night, the guitarist from Deep Purple, who is now playing some "medieval music"( I won't speak about this concert here, peopple who want my opinion have to write to my personal email...)and I met a girl from the Lady Bikers MC, who is a saddle makers like me, she invited us to the Ruthless Harley davidson club who is having a party, there, we met nice peopple, nice tattoos, long plaited beards( imagine a 40 cm. long plaited beard...)
For those to think that we only find big mnuscles, beers and fights inside the clubs, it's wrong, at least for the fights, peopple there was really nice listening to music, drinking(yes, quiet a lot) and playing pools.
on monday i visited the saddle makers workshop and saw some of her work, witch is really good and we could stay much more in Trondheim, many things to do come to us, but after the role play club this evening, we really have to move again...back to the sea!
many thought to our famillies and friends who follows us by the net.
François and Julien
