Anna Rogde, schooner from 1868

16.04.2003

we are just back from a five days trip on Anna Rogde, a schooner from 1868, wooden two mast, where francois just findout that the sea can be quiet rough sometimes, but he handled it very well, doing is job on the sails and in the kitchen, making the food for the crew when it was is turn and took the wheel for a night navigation on the tysfjord, we sailed in a fresh brise in a medium hard sea and every things went well.
for myself, i`m still in love with this beautifull part of norway, after 5 years being out, be back here is just great and exiting...
mountains and snow, frozen lakes, northern lights sometimes, and sleeping outside in a cold weathwer is just life.
I also met some old friends from the crew and it`s always nice to see that people still know you...
Anyway...
soon time for us to quit the easy life of this ship and be back on our "oiling job" and soon help someone in Rognan to set down is nordlandsbåt and try to learn a bit in sailing a square sail and in rowing.
